Good times...

This past Sunday we hosted Andrea Scher & Kelly Rae Roberts and 20 amazing women into a Delicious Food and Conversation afternoon.  It was amazing and as Andrea calls it "the best day ever" ~ it was truly wonderful.  To have this different kind of gathering here at Teahouse was such a treat for all of us ~ Mati, Tiff and I were all here to enjoy the day and that in and of itself was grand.  But to gather women around a table to hold space for each and every one of us to really speak our truth, tell our stories, ask questions ...yes, a few tears and a whole lot of laughing.

Midway through the day Tiff, Mati and I looked at one another and nodded in agreement, yes!  this is something we'd like to hold again.  Yes, this is exactly what I've been wanting.  Yes, this is what women want ~ to come together and share, connect and really come away with some joyful moments and yes, even learn a few things to take back into our own lives.

So yes, the Teahouse gals will be arranging more of these.  Asking other creative women out there who we can gather around a table and share with.  If you have anyone you'd really to sit around a table with, please let us know.  This is for YOU as much as for us ~ we know you need it, we know we need it and we know we're all craving that in person connection and we all know that we can learn from one another and share what we know and what we've struggled with and how we can do it without so much struggle.  From being a mother, to an entreapreneur to being a creative, to feeling like you're all alone in this.  You are not alone.

This is one of the big reasons Teahouse came to be is so we could create that space where we gather and connect.

Won't you join us...

Friends...

bubbles moving into the light ~ bubble flash mob!

There's been some good things happening with so many of our friends lately that I feel like we need to toot some horns!

Have you heard about the Plant a Kiss day and the blog hop that's happening this week?  You can still get in on the action ~ the give aways last through Friday May 5th.  You won't be disappointed ~ so many great stories about joy and the spirit that Amy brings.

Our great friend Steph has so many great happenings going on ~ you need to check her out.  She's a balls-out kinda girl, and I must say I love that about her!  Her etsy shop rocks!

Did you hear that Tiff got engaged?  yes!  she sure did!  So happy for her and Tim.

Andrea is having a great Mother's Day special on Mondo Beyondo and her Superhero Photo classes.  We're also super excited to be hosting her next weekend for a Teahouse workshop!

Our friend Jen is having her first show at Arkay Workshop June 1st ~ if you're in the bay area be sure to check it out. Super excited for her!!

Tell us is there someone out there that you're proud of and would love to toot their horn?  Please share ..and hey it can also be YOU!  We'd love to hear from you.

A day with Jesse and natural light*

jesse himself ~ teaching

This past Saturday, Teahouse hosted Jesse Freidin and his workshop "Harnessing the power of natural light" - it was so great.  The people that came were fun, interactive, and engaged.  Jesse was a wonderful teacher; very patient and I personally love that he still shoots with film and the way he spoke about slowing down, taking that last moment to really look at the surroundings before taking the shot.  I need to slow down, I need to take those moments, I need to look for that light...so yeah, it was awesome.

jesse being the subject ~

I feel like we've been gifted with some amazing teachers over this past year and for as hard as things have felt at times, it's all coming together and really giving back to us.

sarah trying to keep cool ~ it was a hot one!

my lovely assistant Karen ~ she's awesome!

So thank you to all who came out for the day and to Jesse for being our first male teacher :)  We hope he'll come back!

Rebecca Ringquist's Rad Embroidery Class!

We had a wonderful weekend with Rebecca Ringquist and students last weekend. What I love about our space is that it encourages intimate conversations and connection over art. There's nothing better than creating alongside other engaging ladies and breaking for tea and chat.
Students working and exploring on our big wooden table.

Rebecca's embroidery sampler.

Student work in progress! They created so much in just 2 days.

An inventive way to store thread-- around slides!

Thank you everyone who came!
